Lost's Random Musings: A Look Inside Revisited

Photo by: Mr Blue! I absolutely love it! Wow appeal!
Ever wake up and realize that everything you have known about life and everything in between has all been but an elaborate illusion? All this time you were sure you had it all figured out. What you wanted, what you feared, what you craved. In a matter of seconds '"poof'", disappears into thin air. That once comfortably numb feeling that has kept you sustained for so long is no longer inexistence. A matter a fact you can not even for the life of you remember what it felt like. You almost miss that sensation of comfort not because it was necessarily the ultimate of states one would hope for, but because it was all you have known. Something that was ingrained into psyche maybe even second nature almost. Strangely enough it was not frightening notion, I mean I was not scared per say, more perplexedly at odds with my own senses.  Maybe even confused, disoriented. Like a whole-wind of emotions cast into the blender of life.

Until now, I had come to accept a few ideas, notions if you will to be fact. Based just on convenience and well just because it was the quickest less complicated resolution at the time.  One of them being there was not going to be anyone who could move me as '"he did'". James has been my vice for more than a year. I mean let's face it he has a way with words, its effect inexplicable.  They sang to me, mystifies me, but honestly what are words without action? Well, basically they would be nothing but mere symbols or marking on a page or in a book. Lifeless and inept to fulfill their promises. I have never claim to be the champion communicator or the most level headed individual, but I do think I know a few things.

In all fairness, the creation and ultimate demise of the love affair gone wrong was more of a collaborative effort than a single-evenhandedly undertaken endeavor. For it did initiate the shedding of the initial layers of the seemingly impenetrable barrier between me and the world. For this, I will forever be grateful. It will be hard to forget an life altering experience, because it showed me that I was capable of loving again. But in the end, through all the hurt feelings and spent emotions exchanged, it was he who gave me what I needed most at that point in time, he released me, set me free. Thank you, James for your ultimate gift. Not all good things were meant to last. Like the sugary sweets left out in the hot summer day, left to its untimely ending. Stolen moments in time, time that was borrowed can not be kept. Our story was not written in the stars. Fate had different plans for us. I hope destiny comes knocking at your door, and that you will find someone who will give you a reason to move forward without hesitation.

Fate, Destiny and Life: Just a mere coincidence or meant to be...

Even wonder how you would spend an unanticipated moment in time with a total stranger? Consider this scenario if you will, two random people cross paths along the busy highways of life. At that moment they are plunged into a situation, thrown together suddenly, shared a brief moment in time and were surprisingly attracted to one another, and even connected on a level that was beyond meaningful. But in the end somehow they still did not end up together. Now I know I am not alone in feeling sad at such a tragedy befall such compatible souls, but that's only if you interpret it as an ending. I mean the mere notion that two people could connect in such a unique way, in such a way that defies logic and breaks all the rules and still not end up together is just heartbreaking.

It’s not every day that one can click…mesh so well with another and at such an opportune time and still be drawn and feel so at ease in their presence but not want to explore that.*sigh* But in life I believe that there are no real beginnings and endings; instead, everything is continuous and ongoing. There are so many things in our lives that are indefinite. Finding love and companionship certainly are among those indefinite occurrences.

Is it really a case of two random people crossing paths only by chance, or was it fate that had brought them together? I for one don’t believe in coincidences. I mean I don’t subscribe to the notion that things happen for no reason. Maybe I am being a little too optimistic or that’s just the hopeful romantic in me speaking, but I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason. People come in and out of our lives at opportune moments and impress upon us in varying degrees. Some experiences sweet as nectar from the bountiful vessels of life and other more bittersweet. At first taste the sensation sends you soaring to greater unimaginable heights then soon the lighter than air feelings soon turn sour and wither away. Not all good things were meant to be forever. Sometimes it’s enough to just relish and enjoy them for what they are for as long as the taste is agreeable.

Life’s full of a myriad mix of delightful moments strung together by more often than not rather dull and routine moments that could extract the very life that flows from within your lifeline. Those who are forever in search of that constant thrill of exciting moments are in for a rude awakening. Because unless you live in an amusement park and have an unlimited pass to all the rides of life, it isn’t happening. So, if you ever find yourself in an opportune moment having to share a moment in time with a total random stranger, but look a gift horse in the mouth. You never know what wonderful things are in store. Just open your mind, think outside the box and let your spirit roam free. I promise you, you won’t regret it!

Dawn Breaks: New Beginnings

No one ever realizes the impact that they have over another.
A million thanks will never be enough! XXX

As the dawn breaks, your sun rises from the west
And greets my horizon in the east
It soothes and warms my soul
Effortlessly you reached through time and space,
Crossed many an ocean and invaded my thoughts
You're like a dream, something I could have only imagined
But now fate has lead us in the crossroads of life
I do not question the reason; I just trust in you all that I hold true
You are a spirit free and your mere presence is so uplifting
A warm gentle breeze whisks through the empty rooms that dwell in my heart.
For it is you that has revived the rejuvenated,
Given me hope for what lies ahead
Blue skies, sunny days, fluffy pink cotton candy dreams
These images they replay in my mind
And I find that thoughts of you seem to linger
I am a fool hopelessly gitty at the mere notion of you…

Technology Killed Romance: The Modern Love Story

Keeping in touch with our loved ones now only takes a couple of clicks of the mouse. We can see someone halfway across the world via webcam and talk via messenger platforms such as Skype and yahoo . Emails are sent and received within a span of five minutes. With technology improving every single day, all the romantic/cheesy stuff we've seen in movies while we were growing up are slowly disappearing. No one really hand-writes love letters and sends it through the post office or daydreams about meeting that special encounter again through fate, when you can just look them up on Facebook.

I can’t even remember that last time I actually received something through the post. Snail mail is becoming a thing of the past. A dinosaur if you will that has become extinct and may eventually die out due to its inability to adapt to the needs of the masses. I mean seriously who writes letters anymore? But as a hopeful and optimistic romantic soul, I can openly admit that I miss receiving letters through the post. The unimaginable sensation of joy and excitement of getting that letter holding it in my hands…even innocently blushing and hopelessly losing myself in that moment reminiscing in sheer delight to have held something that has touch the very hand of someone special. It is in those moments that one feels connected with another who may be oceans apart but none the less dear to my heart.

Most these days are thankful for the modern advancements in technology. Most of us are asking our friends and loved ones, ‘”Why didn't you send me an email? Or reply my Twitter or comment on my blog? There's a million ways you could've reached out and touched me!"

In this day and age, all the beautifully tragic and emotional romantic situations from older movies and books are a lot more difficult to come by. Lost loves, missed opportunities, lovers' quests...are all taking on new shapes and forms. Let's watch "The Airport" to see what they mean.

Well, technologies does make the distance shorter, but sometimes can ruin the old time romantics moment that guys or girls hope for.

For example, the girlfriend ask "Will you miss me when I go oversea?". Instead of reply with "Wait for me, I will travel along with you just to see your face no matter how far we apart", nowadays boyfriend would say "Well, I will Skype with you to save the trouble!"

But honestly, have letters really become yesterday's "technology." I know that it is increasingly necessary and definitely fast and efficient to communicate through social media platforms such as ICQ, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, or even MySpace. I am not denying the appeal or the advances towards connecting people to each other. The internet is by far the best innovative idea and most definitely widens the network and improved our ability to communicate.

But something worth pondering is, has this so called new modern technology taken the romance out of how people interact with each other? Has it killed romance?
I recently stumbled across WongFu Productions, a YouTube based film company in California, created a series of skits titled, “Technology Ruins Romance,” highlighting the unfortunate events of how romance has lost its intimacy after getting sucked into technology. These 3 new shorts series explores the real life dilemmas experienced in dating scenarios and pokes fun at how technology has quite possibly doused the flames of the modern romance fairytale.
Our parents might have told us stories about how they first met – on a bus ride, love at first sight, serendipity, under the moonlight. Then they might have also told us about all the dramas and misunderstandings that happened in between. And what do we have to tell our children? "We met on ICQ."

Don’t get me wrong I am not stuck on old romances based on old technology, but how impersonal has this world become and how easily are people falling and in and out of love over the cyber airwaves. I mean during the time of our parents' generation was more romantic but our children might find our virtual community-love far more romantic than theirs. Social Media fluency might be ruining some of our old romantic moments but maybe it's creating new romances that wouldn't have been possible weren't it for new media.

My final note to this epic saga that has yet to be told, even thought life has sped up and technology allows you to reach out at lightening speeds to millions over the world wide web, don’t lose sight of the one thing that makes us human, the ability to communicate connection on a personal level move forward and keep up with the trends but don’t forget the past. You and I are not reduced to a number. We are people, hear us, feel us, connect with us!

Textreme: Sometimes you just gotta keep it simple!

It is obvious that men and women communications styles are different. And mishaps can occur whilst trying to break down the barriers that divide. And some times we spend a bit too much time considering dating rules on how to act and how to behave as not to appear desperate or too eager.

But honestly, we should spend less time worrying about messing up and looking and feeling like an idiot. And spend more time and effort keeping it REAL, I mean why not say what you feel and act on your gut instincts. When you over think a simple situation, you can quickly create a big time bomb waiting to explode in your face.

I mean what do you really have to lose? The worse thing is she/he would tell you they aren't interested. Remember, keep it simple! Say what you mean, mean what you say! And always follow through! Cheers!

Just A Nice Guy: Myth or Reality!!

Do nice guys finish last? In my humble subjective opinion, no way! I think " HE" has a bad wrap for centuries or even suffers from social stigma and stereotypes. I suppose it has something to do with our innate need for a challenge.

I have spent most my life swooning over the quote and quote '"bad guy'".You know, the guy.. the tough guy that is slightly aloof and maybe a little unapproachable might even be a little rough and unrefined. But as the years pass and after countless relationships that have fizzled and gone flat, I am singing a new tune.

I have stumbled upon the most amazing discovery, '"Mr. Nice Guy'" has always encompassed those traits I have found desirable. Dependability, honesty, stability, fidelity, in touch with his sensitive side. He isn't afraid to share his dreams, hopes, desires, and even his fears. He may even wear his heart on his sleeve. So, what once was overlooked has become increasingly desirable.

Chivalry isn't dead! It is alive and well! Waiting to sweep you off your feet!!!  And as long as hope exist, the possibilities are endless. So, love like you live, without fear!

My Secret Garden

Photo by: Mr. Blue, a dear friend of mine who has the most uncanny ability to capture life

This is dedicated to someone unique in every sense of the word!

Thank you for being you! I need not mention names. You know who you are!

Come, come follow me
Dwell with me in my secret garden
A secret place hidden inside my heart
Hidden so deep and out of view
There I will be free, free to be me.
Not afraid anymore, I have evened the score
Because you delight me to no end
Thoughts of you send electrifying shivers
Exquisite, clean and pure, playful and demure
Imagine, imagine the most magical things in store
Do I need to say more?

Lost's Random Musings: It is what it is anything but ridiculous!!!

24 hrs ago, I was sitting in from of my lappy and wondering, '"How in the world did I find myself here?'"  How do you go from a completely secure individual to someone a little slightly off? Don't get me wrong, I am a fairly secure person, but even I have my moments of utter insanity. Though these moments are isolated and seem to be fewer and less frequent occurances  as I have become more settled into my own with the onset of my thirties. How can a single event change the course of one's life in a split of second???

Where and at what point did it change? I'm at a loss for words and trust me this does not happen often. I was confident that my life was going to be spent on a solo flight. I had accepted that  I might possibly end up raising Nate on my own.  But, the events that transpired just earlier this morning changed all that....

Come on fly with me...

Feel the wind beneath you,
Lifting you high above the clouds.
A feeling so vibrant and electrifying
For it is you that makes me feel lighter than air.
You are my the air that consumes me,

With each breathe I take,
With each beat of my heart,
You ignite the flames within, fueling my deepest desires.
You are the force that motivates me, inspires me.
You are the substance that sustains and feeds my soul,
A feeling so uplifting, a feeling that will set you free
Come, come fly with me...............
